An extraordinary initiative has surfaced – an initiative designed to boost agricultural productivity, strengthen our economy and secure farmers’ futures.

With its transformational list of benefits and promises it stands as proof of our unwavering dedication towards improving farmers.

This scheme honors our unsung heroes by providing substantial financial support. Through this initiative, the Maharashtra government provides each farmer an annual sum of Rs 12,000; with funds directly deposited into their accounts. Furthermore, women farmers also have equal access to benefits, making agriculture a more inclusive experience overall.

Registration

Maharashtra Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis introduced this scheme during his state budget for 2023-24, offering annual financial support of Rs 12,000 to farmers residing and engaged in farming across Maharashtra, with their land registered with the Agriculture Department and linked to an Aadhaar number. For eligibility of this program, farmers must reside and engage in farming in Maharashtra while possessing cultivable agricultural land registered under their name with Agriculture Department as well as having valid bank account associated with their Aadhaar number.

Registering for the scheme requires visiting the official website of Namo Shetkari Yojana and providing your email address and mobile phone number in order to create an account. After logging in, provide information regarding your district, taluka, village as well as land registration ID number and ration card number – then press “Submit” to complete registration process.

Soon, the initial installment of this scheme will be distributed directly into farmers’ accounts, but the Government of India (GOI) has yet to reveal its release date. It is thought that first installment will only go out to farmers who have completed both e-KYC and land seeding processes within 8 months; anyone not fulfilling these duties has additional time available.

Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana will disperse a total of Rs 1,720 crore to farmers as part of its first tranche by transferring funds directly into their accounts via Public Financial Management System (PFMS) from April 2023, giving nearly 90 lakh farmers across Gujarat access to financial support amounting to Rs 6,000 annually.

Step one of registration requires visiting the official website and providing information such as state, district, taluka, village and land registration ID. After providing these details, a form will appear requesting your Aadhaar number and land registration ID; once these have been provided an OTP will be sent directly to your mobile number so you can move onto step two of registration.

The Namo Shetkari Scheme provides many advantages to girls, including financial support for their future aspirations and endeavours. This is done by giving a substantial sum at various milestones throughout life – for instance upon birth, Rs 5,000, when becoming an adolescent, Rs 2000 when entering secondary education, and finally Rs 75,000 upon graduating college – so as to fulfil her dreams and aspirations and build a better future both personally and for society at large.

On October 10th, the first instalment of Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana will be distributed. All applicants can expect their money in the following weeks.
