From guidance offered during registration, to promises made along the way – Namo Shetkari provides farmers with virtual handholding as they take progressive steps forward on their path of development. With its transformational list of benefits and promises it stands as proof of our unwavering dedication towards improving farmers.

This scheme honors our unsung heroes by providing substantial financial support. Through this initiative, the Maharashtra government provides each farmer an annual sum of Rs 12,000; with funds directly deposited into their accounts. Furthermore, women farmers also have equal access to benefits, making agriculture a more inclusive experience overall.

Imagine a world where every farmer’s dreams are supported and their hard work recognized; where the soil’s bounty is appreciated beyond measure; and nations flourish as nations depend upon farmers persevering against obstacles to grow food for themselves and for others. That vision is becoming a reality day by day – on its journey toward fulfillment until each and every farmer prospers.

Maharashtra Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis introduced this scheme during his state budget for 2023-24, offering annual financial support of Rs 12,000 to farmers residing and engaged in farming across Maharashtra, with their land registered with the Agriculture Department and linked to an Aadhaar number. For eligibility of this program, farmers must reside and engage in farming in Maharashtra while possessing cultivable agricultural land registered under their name with Agriculture Department as well as having valid bank account associated with their Aadhaar number.
